1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Sharehouse Pro Pty Ltd, operating as Homerun ("Homerun", "we", "us"), collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information when you use the Homerun WhatsApp assistant and related services (the "Service"). We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
2. Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly — such as your name, phone number, email address, and the details you share about your household, rent and bills. We also collect basic technical information (like message metadata and device details) needed to operate the Service.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to provide and improve the Service, respond to you over WhatsApp, personalise perks and deals, understand what renters need, and meet our legal obligations. We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have a legal effect on you without a human in the loop.
4. Messaging over WhatsApp
The Service communicates with you over WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta. Your use of WhatsApp is also subject to Meta's own terms and privacy policy. Standard messaging rates from your carrier may apply.
5. When we share information
We share personal information only where needed to run the Service — for example with the service providers who help us operate it (such as our messaging, hosting and analytics partners), or where you ask us to connect you with a partner deal. We will never sell your personal information.
6. Perks, deals and partners
Where you choose to take up a perk, deal or referral, we may share the information reasonably needed to set it up with the relevant partner. That partner will handle your information under its own privacy policy.
7. Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including access controls and encryption in transit. Some of our service providers may store data outside Australia; where they do, we take steps to ensure it is handled consistently with this policy.
8. Keeping and deleting information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it to provide the Service and meet our legal obligations, after which we take steps to delete or de-identify it.
9. Your choices and rights
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, ask us to stop messaging you, or make a privacy complaint. You can stop receiving messages at any time by letting us know in the chat.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to let you know. The "last updated" date above shows when this version took effect.
